Joe Stanley Smith elementary was named for a local veteran, and as one of our service projects during the year we host a Veteran’s Day Breakfast with presentations of cards, songs, and other gifts for the Veterans who attend. In addition, we have a Wall of Honor for family and community members to be recognized on. It is just a small gesture from us to honor the men and women who have served our wonderful country.
We are blessed by our Veterans and our students look forward to their visit every year!
